VF is launching a new BC-13 Beta Calibrator, which is primarily intended for convenient and safe calibration of beta radiation detectors and personal dosimeters measuring personal Hp(0.07), Hp(3) and directional Hp'(0.07), Hp'(3) dose equivalents in accordance with the ISO 6980 standard.
VF is launching a new AGM-03 Area Gamma Monitor. It is a compact monitor with integrated display designed for the measurement of gamma dose equivalent rate in the environment. It replaces the AGM-02 monitor in VF's product portfolio. The AGM-03 monitors have improved measurement and energy ranges and can be connected and powered using an Ethernet interface instead of a standard RS-485 serial line.
VF has launched a modernized version of the ExitScan-2 Personnel Exit Monitor, following comprehensive development and testing. The ExitScan-2 is a two-step, full body personnel contamination monitor, designed to check personnel leaving radiation-controlled areas for radioactive contamination. The monitor checks for presence of alpha, beta, and gamma emitting radionuclides (depending on detectors fitted).
VF is launching an alternative design of MDG-04 and MDG-08e gamma dose rate detectors with an Ethernet interface on October 1, 2022. MDG-04 detectors are designed for the measurement of air kerma rates, especially in plant process monitoring. MDG-08e detectors are designed for dose rate measurement, especially in area and environmental monitoring. New designs of these detectors allow them to be connected and powered using an Ethernet interface instead of a standard RS-485 serial line.
VF has completed the development and testing of a new standardized system for radiation monitoring with the display of measurement results in a web browser. Various radiation monitors, display units and alarm units manufactured by VF can be connected to the webRMS system.
VF is launching a modernized version of the PAM-100 Portable Activity Meter on June 1, following comprehensive development and testing. The PAM-100 series activity meters are portable hand-held instruments intended for the measurement of alpha, beta, and/or gamma surface contamination. They contain a scintillator covered with light-tight foil, with a photomultiplier and two-channel processing electronics.
In February 2022, VF signed a contract to supply the complete neutron calibration laboratory equipment to the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (BAEK). The organization falls under the Bangladeshi Ministry of Science and Technology, which is responsible for regulating the use of nuclear energy in Bangladesh. Among other things, it oversees the safety aspects of the construction of the new Rooppur nuclear power plant.
VF is launching a new RPU-06 Radiation Processing Unit, following comprehensive development and testing. It is a more compact version of the RPU-12 Radiation Processing Unit and it is possible to use it in monitors where there is no need to locally control the sampling technology but where it is required to locally display the measurement results.
VF is launching a modernized version of the FloorScan Floor Contamination Monitor on January 1, 2022, following comprehensive development and testing. The FloorScan monitors are intended for the measurement of surface contamination by alpha, beta, and/or gamma-emitting radionuclides on floors. Gasless scintillation detectors are used.
