Key Features
- Measurement of volumetric activity of gamma‑emitting radionuclides in process liquids at nuclear facilities.
- Off-line monitor type - samples are continuously taken from a process pipeline and routed through the monitor's measurement chamber.
- Suitable for high temperatures.
- Built-in Cs-137 check source for automatic spectrum stabilization and functional testing.
- Available in a seismic-resistant design, in accordance with IEEE/IEC 60980-344.
- Optional safety‑classified function, Category C according to IEC 61226.
Description
The monitor is designed to measure the volumetric activity of gamma‑emitting radionuclides in process liquids at nuclear facilities under routine, accident, and post‑accident conditions. It is suitable, for example, for monitoring steam generator blowdown.
The LAM-561 monitor consists of:
- LAD-61 detector assembly, comprising:
- GD-51 gamma detector with a YAP Ø1“ × 1.5“crystal,
- Cs-137 check and stabilization source,
- stainless steel flow-through measurement chamber,
- 50 mm thick lead shielding.
- RPU‑06 radiation processing unit, equipped with a DIM‑15 digital multichannel analyser configurable to 1K, 2K, 4K, or 8K channels.
