X-ray calibration laboratory for Croatian Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health

                    In October 2021, VF was awarded a contract from the Croatian Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health for the delivery of a complete X-ray calibration laboratory with various accessories to their premises in Zagreb, Croatia.
The complete scope of supply included the following:
- A 225 kV X-ray irradiator including a HV generator, a tube with cooling, and safety components (provided by PTW Freiburg)
 - An X-Ray shutter (provided by PTW Freiburg)
 - A filter wheel (provided by PTW Freiburg)
 - The CB-60 Calibration Bench, manual, with 6m long rails and side camera on the carriage
 - A remote-control computer with the DARS control software allowing remote control of the supplied X-ray irradiator
 - Ion chambers, dosimeters, electrometers, cables and other associated dosimetry accessories (provided by PTW Freiburg)
 - A radiation monitoring system
 - A safety system
 - A set of positioning lasers
 - A CCTV system
 
Services provided included the complete design of the calibration facility, equipment manufacturing, integration of the VF and PTW components in one control system, installation, commissioning and training of personnel.
