This training builds on a recurring format that has proven successful in the past and has become an established practice within our organization. The training was led by our Technical Director, Petr Okruhlica, one of our key experts in this field.
The training focused on IAEA SSR-2/1 Safety of Nuclear Power Plants: Design and corresponding Safety Guides, IEC 61226 nuclear safety classification and qualification requirements according to international standards (IEC 61513, IEC 60780-323, IEC 60980-344) and short comparison to the U.S. classification framework (IEEE 603) class 1E.
The Czech legislative and technical framework for RMS systems, including the Metrology Act, Atomic Act, and Decree 358/2016 Coll., was also addressed.
The program combined theoretical foundations with practical insights, including real examples of Bertin VF Nuclear RMS equipment qualification.
The program was further complemented by on-site workshops at Dukovany and Temelín nuclear power plants, where participants explored RMS system architecture and real operation in nuclear facilities.
The on-site sessions were delivered by Head of Dukovany Group Vít Petráněk and Head of Temelín Group Pavel Prášek.
This initiative highlights our ongoing commitment to knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and nuclear safety.
The training materials have been incorporated into ČEZ’s internal Knowledge Management portal.
